Monster Island, a mockbuster of The Asylum which came out in 2019 just around the time of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island called Monster Island that houses a monster. The monster is, in a way, the island, or Monster Island, itself.


This movie is about an asylum and has a budget that's about the same as (check here) a large kid's meal. It also uses it sparingly. It has a small number of characters that are human and films their scenes on one set. The Asylum may not be as bad as it seems, but this is a film about kaiju.
